Oscar thoughts
Best Picture: I’ve seen 6 of 9. I think The Artist will win. I personally liked Midnight in Paris better but I can appreciate the uniqueness of The Artist (Black and White, Silent film). But man this years nominees suck as a whole. Such Oscar bait. Ugh. With the expanded roster They could have broaden the selection with the likes of 50/50, HP:DH:Pt2, or Drive.
Best Actor: I’ve seen 4 of 5. The Artist will probably win again here. That or Gary Oldman as kind of a life time achievement award(LTAA). Pitt and Clooney’s acting wasn’t anything special.
Best Actress: I’ve seen 1 of 5. Hopefully Viola Davis or Michelle Williams win this. Can’t fucking stand Close or the annual Streep. And Mara was more flash and makeup rather than acting. Plus go cry into all your family’s superbowl trophies.
Best Supporting Actor: Probably Plummer as a LTAA. Or Nolte would be nice if you consider a drunk being a drunk acting.
Best Supporting Actor: Probably one of the Helpers or the undeserving McCarthy. I like her but the performance wasn’t anything special, plus she already won an emmy for it.
Best Director: The Artist guy seeing how since 2002 Best Picture and Director have gone to the same movie 9 out of 10 times. Which is such shit! They are not the same fucking awards!
Screenplays: Who knows. Who cares. People as a whole don’t read them, so who knows what was written for and what was added by actors or directors.
Best Animated: I’ve seen 3 of 5. Rango will probably win. Really liked it. KFP2 and Cat in Paris were good as well. Suck it Cars 2 you piece of crap.
